The Nest without a Nursery...

I’m 20 weeks 6 days today and while I’m embarrassed to admit this, I’ll be honest with you and just get straight to the point.  I haven’t started decorating the nursery yet.  < gasp!>

I know, I know, I’m probably behind all of the other moms-to-be out there…
But in my defense, I have it all planned out in my head, only I can’t seem to bring myself to actually “do” it.  It’s funny…I know that I’m pregnant and that I have this amazing little life in my tummy, but I must admit I’m still scared.  Why you ask? Well, maybe it’s because I’ve gone through this already…twice…and this will be my first baby. Catch my drift??  Do any of you mothers out there feel the same way? Is it silly of me to have this overwhelming urge to wait just another month before I have a go at it?  Go ahead, tell me I’m crazy for feeling this way…I won’t blame you. ;)

However, when I do get started on the nursery (which I plan to be some time in February), I promise I'll make sure to share every juicy detail, including prices and where I've purchased everything and of course, lots & lots of pictures to boot.

In other news, here’s what I’m loving today!
Maxi-Cosi Mico Infant Car Seat in Phantom ($159 via Amazon)

I love the sleek design and masculine feel...especially because I'm expecting a lil' man! But even if you want your car seat to be gender neutral, this is a great pick at an awesome price!

Neutral Nursery: Counting Sheep

Don’t know the sex of your Lil’ one just yet and wanting to get a head start on creating the perfect neutral nursery? Or maybe you’re just waiting to find out the sex until your bean or beanette makes his/her grand entrance into the world to find out.  Perhaps you already know what you’re having and don’t want the nest to be gender specific...  Whatever the case may be, I’ve answered your call and put together the perfect moodboard of a nifty neutral nursery to hopefully titillate your design taste buds. So take a gander and tell me what you think.

Counting Sheep Moodboard

If you're anything like me, the PBK crib pictured above is a weeeee bit out of budget at a whopping $999!
So, why not opt for something just as classic but a whole lot more pocketbook friendly?  Here are two different, but definite contenders:

The Kendall Fixed Gate Crib from PBK
**currently on special for $399 marked down from $599!**

or what about this classic crib from JCPenney

at a sale price of $299, you really can't go wrong!

So, are you liking the calm, natural, earth tones of this board or do you prefer color specific nurseries like blue for boy and pink for girl? Maybe you’ve got a theme in mind (nautical, farm animals, or something classic like Winnie the Pooh) and can’t wait to grab a paintbrush and get to work.  Whatever your liking, I’d love to hear about it …Let’s chat!
